English courses
What courses are there in IILT?
IILT has courses in General English at 5 levels and Pre-vocational and English for Academic Purposes courses. The classes are for 4 hours a day, Monday to Friday. Each course is around 4 months long. There are morning and afternoon classes.
What do people learn at IILT?
In General English courses we help people to learn the English they need to live and work in Ireland. For learners with a higher level of English, Pre-vocational and English for Acdemic Purposes courses help you to get into work or training, enter university or gain professional recognition.
All students also learn how to use computers.
In IILT it is very important for learners to choose to learn language that is important for their lives in Ireland. Each learner uses the European Language Portfolio to plan their learning, and also to record their progress in English.
Who can study at IILT?
IILT is open to adult refugees (Stamp 4 on GNIB card). We welcome learners with all levels of English.

All IILT classes are free.
